Why conspiracy?

Why would the government want to fool us with a conspiracy that the earth was round? :?  What would they gain fom it? Do they have something dangerous behind the "ice wall" that they don't want us to know about?

We can only speculate about their motives (we can also only speculate whether the governments are in on the Conspiracy - which I don't believe). A common speculation is that the Conspiracy is trying to hide something (either behind the Ice Wall or on the other side of the earth).

If we had proof of the Conspiracy or an inside source we would know more and also know what is evidence of a conspiracy and what is merely coincidence.

ok but i read on this site that the government prevents people getting close to the ice wall. How do they do this? Has this happened to anyone? if you claim antarctica does not exist as a continent though is the ice wall (correct me if i am wrong) why is it unguarded when people go there? Do you know which government?

You obviously didn't read what I wrote:

Anything we say about the Conspiracy is speculation.

I don't believe the governments are in on the conspiracy and I've never seen any guards on the Ice Wall (though I may have been lucky). I'm fairly certain that the Conspiracy relies more on people not going to the Ice Wall rather than stopping them once they're there.

Here's a question for you: do you believe me when I say I've been to the Ice Wall? Would you believe somebody else? Most of the stories you hear of people going to Antarctica are propaganda created by the Conspiracy. Also, it is possible to see Antartica and explore it without being able to see (let alone reach) the Ice Wall.
