First of all I want to say a big hello to yall here. My name is Johan, and I'm neither a RE or a FE supporter and in this forum I've decided to choose none of 'em. I'm rather an objective observer and I'll be quite passive unless I find topics worth posting in. In normal life outside this forum I'm more of a RE supporter, simply because it is a more useful way in my mind to view things that way.

Welcome. And we need an introduction forum. Badly.
very thing's a conspiracy, every thing's kept hidden from you... waiting to be uncovered.
Your so retarted, even if you went to space and saw the earth was round, you would completely deny it.

Hi, I joined about a week ago, and posted too much in a few days.

I’m an FE supporter on these forums, as debate practice. However, I don’t know which is right; right now, I’m leaning towards FE.

Hello. I'm new here, as you can see. I'm 14 years old, I'm a programmer (C++, Java, PHP, Delphi, Pascal, etc.), and an RE supporter. Not by facts given in school, but the facts given in everyday life and experiences.

I've been working on a Java GUI (Graphical User interface, like a web browser, has buttons and can do things without much work) and I've had fun with it, along with the PHP code I'm integrating to help with it. I might make an authorization system or whatever, maybe make a little money off of it. :)

I hate being called "smart" or "wise", I'm neither, I'm just using my intelligence to gain knowledge, which is my sole goal in life. My beliefs may be different, and I may be passionate at times when I'm against your thoughts (not about the Flat Earth theory, though, seeing as this is a forum full of the believers, I shouldn't deliberately alienate them), but I'm okay most of the time. Like my view of Intelligence as Potential and Knowledge as Succeeded / Used Potential.

Hopefully I can contribute, but I won't agree to the Flat Earth Theory unless I'm proven completely wrong.
(I have gone online and watched videos and read eBooks on Physics, so I'm not as naive or arrogant as my age may lead you to assume).

Born near Melbourne to an Irish convict father, as a young man I soon came into conflict with the police. After murdering three policemen, me and my gang became outlaws, and entered a two year career of murder and bank robbery. A final violent confrontation with police at Glenrowan, myself dressed in home-made plate metal armour and helmet, led to my capture and trial.1 I'm currently in Melbourne Gaol.

I almost got those "...big ugly fat-necked wombat headed big bellied magpie legged narrow hipped splaw-footed sons of Irish Bailiffs or english landlords which is better known as Officers of Justice or Victorian Police."2

That's some sad Java code.  Firstly there's a serious lack of semicolons.

And I don't think it needs the double equals in this case, and does Java even have a 'then'?

No 'then' either.  I'd do it more like this

if(!you.understand)
   you.status = "Java Handicapped";
else
   you.status = "Java Programmer";

you is one of class Person with status being a string and understand being a boolean.

Brackets are just used if you're going to have more than one line in that segment.  If it's only one line, the brackets are not necessary. ^_^

Hey, My name is Chris Walker.

I'm a 21 year old CNA in Springfield, Mo. I'm pro RE, though I have been pretty damned impressed with portions of the FE model (sans the conspiracy).

At the time of this post, I've been on this forum for the past two days, and I've been a member for the past 4 hours and 37 minutes. :D

-= Looking forward to fun debates =-

Hello, My name is Ryan. I first heard about this website in my Engineering class last semester, and found it again today when someone mentioned it on another forum that I regularly visit. I'm an avowed RE'er, I suppose, but I'm open to new ideas and especially open to debate. I haven't had much time to browse the forums yet, but I look forward to the discussions that we're bound to have.
