In a very similar way to creationists, I find that FE's put an unfair burden of proof on the other side while offering very few pieces of evidence themselves.
For example, this ice wall. Something that should be incredibly easy to prove the existence of simply by going there.
I read the FAQ, and the reason stated there is that the government conspiracy has people that stop people from getting to the ice wall.
How very, very convenient.
Are there eye witnesses that have seen these government agents defending the ice wall? Photographs of them, perhaps? Why has no aircraft ever reported seeing the ice wall? I guess I can answer that one myself - perhaps the government conspiracy has aircraft to direct people away. Okay.
So why has nobody in the history of flight ever reported such a thing? If there is a secret airfield, why no photos of it?
Stop making excuses. Your position relies on layers upon layers of convenient excuses. Why don't YOU take a trip and visit the ice wall? Why don't a bunch of you get together and just go? It's not that hard. People make foreign trips all the time, adventuring off around Asia or Europe. Just go, take some cameras, and see how far you get. No doubt you'll make excuse after excuse about why you can't go. Which begs the question, why do you so readily believe something that has no proof? Why are you so utterly unwilling to even attempt to prove the existence of the ice wall?
I read another thread, where another guy like me (a guy that believes the world is round) asked you guys why don't you save up some money and take Branson's flight to space (or the outer atmosphere to be a bit more precise). What did you guys do? You made excuses. Too expensive. Or, "I don't want to die". This guy had to really, really drag it out of you, it seems like you have no interest whatsoever in proving definitively that the earth is flat. I have to say, I have very little respect for you guys.
Go ahead, make your excuses.
