Question for theEngineer
« on: October 19, 2007, 01:57:10 AM »
You said some time ago (cannot seem to retrieve the exact post) that when you worked for an aeroplane manufacturer (or a company connected with aeronautics), that you observed something that made you realise the "truth" regarding the shape of the earth.   To put it another way, it was your "moment of epiphany".

Would be interest to hear what happened.  What was the event?

I believe I said that I put myself through college working for an airline, thus having access to free flights around the world.  I also worked for a private FBO, in which the owner owned a Cessna Citation.  I am also a licensed pilot.  Not once, during any of the hundreds if not thousands of flights I've been on, have I ever witnessed the curvature of the Earth.

TheEngineer,

Thanks for the reply.  Thought you said something more specific.
