Apparently this is the deadliest shooting on a college campus in history. Its too bad that the gunman didn't realize that school shootings are no longer cool. Shooting up your school is so last week.

The guy who did this was an EMO. his girl friend dumped him, he shot up the school. True fucking story.

Australia has very strict gun laws, and as a result this wouldn't happen here. Lets get real, though. There's a long way vetween the laws you currently have and anything resembling control.

This stuff would happen with or without guns in the USA.

How would one go about shooting a bunch of people without the means of shooting?

I own guns myself.  I find it fun to target shoot and occasionally hunt (not trophy hunting, mind you) and it saddens me when people go and ruin it for law-abiding people like myself.

No, not impossible, but pretty hard. If I decided to go postal, I've got no idea where I'd go to get a gun. Then I'd have to get a license etc etc and even then there are no automatic or semi automatic guns allowed in australia.

The mere fact that there aren't guns everywhere severely decreases the chances of gun violence. There are still occasionally gun accidents, but there hasn't been a shooting (on this scale, not counting gangland murders in melbourne) like this since the Port ARthur massacre back in the 90's, which was the point when auto and semi auto guns were outlawed, guns were bought back en mass, and really now only people on farms have them.
