Well they are running the operation from the jet propulsion laboratories...
Still, should be interesting to everyone.

They've got more cameramen, bloggers, and news "anchors" than actual mission personnel.
The personnel are running the operation off of a simulation (the same simulation used prior to launch).
No actual footage is shown.

I'd bet they have a data feed that's been cleverly defined months prior. How boring, NASA is hardly working. But I guess there are enough Callosal idiots that they don't have to...

How convenient for them that the lander landed almost completely level. What are the odds?

Its just like the 'Reefer Madness' propaganda from 1936. One day people will look back and laugh and think, "how stupid".

They've got to "find" something if they want to continue to swindle billions of dollars from the treasury...

I find it hard to accept anyone believes it takes millions of dollars to produce a picture like that. They've got a racket going alright.

Didn't a giant robot already destroy this a few years back? I remember seeing some video footage on youtube showing what looked like a big mechanical thing smashing it.

IMHO this money should spent on something really worthwhile like a cure for cancer resulting in  tangible benefits for many people.  How wrong is it possible to be in deciding the nation's priorities?   :-\

Human populations are overtaking our supply. Why is cancer bad? Dead people have been replaced for a long time now, in fact, our species has evolved around that fact.

Enabling our species to move beyond earth, is undeniably good.
