Well I guess it's good for the victims of the "Church" that nobody really cares what you think.

I'm not quite sure. I only learned of the date of the protest yesterday. Unfortunately I have class tomorrow, and it would be impossible for me to go to Clearwater to protest and then make it back to Orlando in time for class, so I am showing my support by spreading the word.

7,600 people, protesting at 108 churches in 17 different countries! That is pretty damn impressive. If anyone has a chance of opening peoples eyes to the dangers of this cult, it is Anonymous.

The date is a b-day of some kind. Either the founders or the church's.

Nope. Anonymous has been having a protest every month since February. There is nothing special about April 12th, it's just the day they picked for this month.

It's Saturday. The next protest is on May 10th. The previous one was on March 15. They want greater attendance during the weekend.

We most definitely ended up with a tail when we left the protest. There were five of us, so maybe the large group drew his attention.

I don't know if any of you saw the guy who was snapping photos of people as they got off of Caltrain but he was waiting there for us when we got back. A fat, middle aged scilon with greying hair, that's about all I remember.

The guy walked right behind us onto the train and sat down a few seats away, not even trying to be subtle.

An amusing conversation ensued with the conductor, who asked us about our masks and told us we were scaring the other people in the car, so we referenced the protest and gave him a flier. He proceeded to insult the CoS right in front of the Scilon, which he didn't like much. The Scilon was busy talking on his cell phone off and on, and when we got off of the train he followed us then too.

At that point we approached him and told him to bugger off, and he wasn't interested, so we called the cops and explained to them what was happening. Well, except for the part where we were masked.

I shit you not, the cops showed up and they didn't even bother with the five masked strangers. The officer went right over to the Scilon, talked a bit and then somehow summoned two more cops cars who also came over to talk to the guy. Soon enough they drove him away, and we left in a fairly convoluted fashion involving cabs and sending strangers out to fetch our cars later, etc.

Best part is we got loads of very good video of the guy, including his unfortunate encounter with the cops, as well as plenty of still photos. As soon as we get off of our lazy asses and edit it, you'll see it up somewhere.

For now I thought you should know -- there's at least one very persistant Scilon in Mountain View.

Scientology has one point only because I agree with their statement that lobotomy and medications don't help psychological issues.  Lobotomy never really helped the victim, and psychological drugs are used far too often.  They should only be used for really major problems, and accompanied with actually therapy.

Seriously, I work at a pharmacy and I'm surprised by how many anti-depressants and such that we stock and sell.

Other than that, yeah Scientologists are big time crazy and Anonymous wins forever!

No, Scientology believes all chemicals are evil. Not realizing what a chemical is makes this funny. Every single substance is a chemical. They keep people off of anti epilepsy drugs and such. They've killed people by preventing treatment, and they've killed and tried to kill dissidents. They have also abused the legal system to ruin people's lives. Scientology is a cult, religions no matter how they turn out are made to improve people's lives, cults are made to make money and control them.

Scientology is evil and no matter how innocent your support of them, you are still contributing to their evil acts.

Don't compare this to radical christians either, you can donate money to a normal church and it will go to starving people, donate to scientology and you are lining the pockets of evil powerful people. Scientology must die, I am proud of Anonomous for using it's power for good. The media can demonize them as much as they want, but they do do good.

It's meant to be taken as truth. It was always meant to be taken as truth. If you start to question it, you are sent to ethics, and you stay there until you figure out exactly what flaw in your character made you question the cult's religion's teachings.

Tell more people about the protest. If you know any reporters, convince them to do a story on it. We are trying to inform everyone of the evils of the church. Once their atrocities are common knowledge, the fall of the cult will be inevitable.

I live about an hour from Clearwater and I notice that the newspaper (Tampa Tribune) hardly ever covers the Anonymous protests.  You'd think that would be big news here, since there are so many Scientologists.   

That work for the newspaper.....

Yes, but they can get 10,000 protesters to picket in 100+ cities worldwide, all at the same time, raising awareness, and gaining support from the general public. Plus they have the backing of Mark Bunker, and a bunch of former Scientologists who want nothing more than to spread the word of Scientologies crimes against humanity.

Really, the fall of the church is inevitable, no matter who is holding the protests.
