So I'm new...

Okay first question, what are these experiments that we can do to prove the world is flat? Is anyone on here an actual scientist that has gone to at least graduate school? I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just curious...really.

The experiments are contained in Earth: Not A Globe.

As for your other question, I'm not sure what TheEngineer has taken, but I don't think anyone else around here is old enough to have completed graduate school.

There are no such experiments, just believe!

But can you prove it incorrect?

Can you prove our theories (that have evidence - imagine that!) incorrect?

Anyway, go and learn:

Yep. Dr. Samuel Birley Rowbotham and co. have provided hundreds of pieces of experimental evidence which directly contradicts RE predictions. Read his book Earth Not a Globe.

Also read Zetetic Cosmogony by Thomas Winship for additional evidence contradicting Round Earth Theory.

Quote
http://www.physlink.com/education/askexperts/ae535.cfm

The Ship Effect and other phenomenas supposing a convexity to the earth have been contradicted by observational evidence. It has been demonstrated beyond all shadow of a doubt that these are illusions of perspective and nothing more. They will occur when receding bodies intersect with the vanishing point. As a ship recedes into the ocean's horizon, distant from the observer, it will appear to the naked eye to sink from the bottom up into the sea when it touches the horizon line, intersecting with the vanishing point. It has been found that the sinking of a ship as it recedes is in perspective only. The ship is not physically sinking, but as the ship intersects with the vanishing point it will appear to sink form the bottom up.

It has been proven that this effect is purely perceptual, that a good telescope with sufficient zoom will change the observer's perspective and bring the ship's hull back in full view. This is not possible if the ship were really behind a "hill of water." Hence, the effect which is usually thought to prove the earth as a globe really proves it to be a plane.

The sinking ship effect is bull. ENaG and Zetetic Cosmogony are both bull.

Tom Bishop cannot physically see anything proving RE because of a rare brain disease.

I find it quite strange that you are distinctly absent every time someone comes up with something that completely disproves your theory. These threads strangely seem to get locked, or moved to angry ranting too....

Also, since you have disqualified all photographic evidence, you cannot use that to prove your theory.

So what you're saying is, photographic evidence CANNOT be used to disprove FE theory, but it CAN be used to disprove RE?
I've never seen any round earth. Why should I believe in something I've never seen?

I agree its not valid on these forums.

However, if your argument holds the pictures valid, why would you object to them being used?  Does the RE now think that the discovery channel is part of some FE conspiracy?

It's as valid as the FE theory's conspiracy. Hence why photographic evidence cannot be used, it is too easily faked.

Do you except that there is a third alternative? The Earth is round, the Discovery Channel documentary is just fabricated bullshit, but not made by an FE conspiracy, you see I'm not paranoid.

basically if a photo proves Round Earth it is rejected. If a 1hr montage of photographs plus uncited facts plus pure speculation, (including purely speculative and unsourced video/pictures and data) appears, Flat Earth is round.

amen. that's exactly the problem i've been having with fe'er's selective use of photographs. they just make and alter the rules for evidence submission and quality standars up as they go.
